Connecting the Dots
Any two or more dots of the same color can be connected, so long as they are horizontally or vertically (not diagonally) adjacent. Connecting dots makes them disappear and racks up points, with longer chains of dots netting larger point payouts.
If four dots of the same color are connected in a square shape, all dots of that color on the board disappear. This often leads to a chain effect, as once one color is gone it becomes easier to form squares from the remaining colors.
If a square encloses one or more dots, those dots turn into bombs. Bombs detonate after the square has disappeared, eliminating all adjacent dots.
Tracking Your Moves
Every level gives a limited number of moves in which you must complete the objective, and every set of dots you connect counts as a move. If you run out of moves before completing the objective, you fail the level.
Losing Lives, Gaining Lives
The player starts with five lives or hearts, and loses one with each level failure. Lives or hearts can also be lost if a level is started and then either quit or restarted. Each heart takes 20 minutes to regenerate, and once all lives are gone the player must either wait for more lives or purchase a life refill for $0.99 before they can continue playing.
